Les Paul Thru The Lens

Join us Monday, October 7th, for “An Evening About Les” – an exclusive event with Chris Lentz, Les Paul’s longtime friend who chronicled Les’ life and career through personal and up-close photographs, and Michael Braunstein, third-generation manager of Les Paul now serving as the head of the Les Paul Foundation. The special event is a rare opportunity to hear about the legend and ask questions to the two people who knew him best.

Chris Lentz, more than just a photographer, was a dear friend of Les Paul. He intimately documented Les Paul’s life, from his performances at Fat Tuesdays in the 1980s, to the Iridium in the 1990s and 2000s, and even his personal life and travels. His photographs capture the essence of Les Paul, the man behind the legend, before his passing in 2009.

The ‘Les Paul Thru the Lens’ exhibit, following its successful run at the Rock and Roll of Fame, will be at the Iridium from October 7th through November 18th. Ticket holders for the respective show on the night will enjoy free admission at 6:30pm. And for those who wish to attend the Q&A session only, admission is completely FREE, ensuring everyone can be a part of this special event (limited six tickets per customer).

“Les Paul Thru the Lens” is an exclusive traveling gallery of photos that offer a unique glimpse into the life and career of Les Paul, the inventor, musician, and icon.  The exhibit features 24 gallery-framed black-and-white photographs, including Les’ life from a small child to his later career. It includes rare personal family photos, Les behind-the-scenes, famous friends, and photos of the man with a larger-than-life personality and amazing curiosity. Guests can follow along while viewing each photograph with web-initiated storylines. From Les’ inventions born in his famous Hollywood garage studio to his popular reality TV show and appearances with Mary Ford, the exhibit allows fans to see Les like never before!
